The Museum of Childhood Ireland is excited to announce our 2025 Bloomsday Young Author Competition Judges.
This year’s judging panel includes: Acclaimed children’s author, Sarah Webb; Children’s Books Ireland education outreach manager and Trinity College Dublin lecturer, Dr Becky Long; Award winning author and professional learning leader, Ciarán Collins; Workday’s senior technical writer and Dublin City University John Killeen medal recipient for his comparative analysis of James Joyce’s Ulysees, Nathan Finn; University of Galway’s Professor of Education, Prof Anthony Hall; Irish Novelist, (Interim) Director of creative writing at University College Cork and former editor of The Stinging Fly, Dr Danny Denton, and; RSVP journalist, Shauna Bannon Ward. The Judges look forward to seeing all the entries sent in following the 16th of May deadline!
This competition is being presented in conjunction with our friends in Marsh’s Library and in collaboration with the James Joyce Centre’s Bloomsday Festival programme taking place on the 18th of April.
The competition is open to anyone under 18, in primary or second level school. There will be great prizes for students and schools. So chat with any children and teens you know and inspire them to get writing, show their creative side and be in with a chance to win some super prizes!
