The Museum of Childhood Ireland, Múseum Óige na hÉireann, championing children and childhoods.
The museum challenges the outdated belief that “children should be seen but not heard”.
It takes a wide-angled approach to childhood that is Island-wide and International in scope.

Museum of Childhood Ireland needs a home. We have a wonderful collection which includes old Dolls houses, the stories of the children who played with them, and especially of the lives lived by children islandwide and amongst the diaspora from historic to contemporary times. We now need a museum home. We need a space where the people of Ireland can gather to explore and celebrate the diversity of childhood.
