See our display on James Joyce books for children at our office in Dún Laoghaire.

Call by from 11am for readings for younger children, and a Bloomsday/Joyce writing/drawing station!*

Drop by from 3pm to also hear readings from Ulysses by our volunteer team and project friends for older children, teenagers and adults. Remember we will also have writing tutors on hand in our ‘Book Room’ for tips on how to craft a story.*.. and we have prizes for all taking part.

We are dressing up for a stroll around the borough as far as Sandycove. We’d love to see you dressed up too! Prizes for best dressed on the day- use your imagination

*We’ll be running a ‘Writing and Drawing Joyce’ workshop for children and youth upstairs in our Community Bookshop / Creative Writing space ‘Book Room’ throughout the day. The workshops draw on a school initiative Majella first began over ten years ago to encourage an interest in Joyce from a young age, through hearing his work, reading his work, and using it all including Ulysses and Dubliners, as a creative starting point for essays, poems, song, dance, art, craftwork…
