Corporate Support
There are many different ways to get your company and staff involved with Museum of Childhood Ireland’s (MoCI) work and mission. Here are some possibilities:
Adopt the MoCI as your ‘Charity of the Year’. Donate as a company and /or staff can fundraise to support our work.
Santa loves giving gifts at Christmas to the children of Ireland. Could your company choose MoCI as your charity for a once off or annual Christmas donation?
Support specific projects – either national or locally across Ireland.
Make general donations that allow us to remain flexible and respond where the need is currently greatest.
Tax Back Donations – Company
Tax back criteria
If a company donates €250 or more in a year, the company can claim a tax deduction as if the donation was a trading expense.
There is a four year time limit for making a claim under this scheme.
If you give €250 or more in one year, Museum of Childhood Ireland (MoCI) can claim an extra 45% in tax back on your generous donation. That means your gift of €250 is actually worth €362 to us – €112.33 extra; a gift of €500 is worth €725 and €1,000 is worth €1,450!
All you have to do is sign and return a Taxback form so we can claim this tax back and unlock these vital extra funds. In order for MoCI to claim tax back on your donations, you must have:
Donated €250 or more to MoCI in at least one calendar year (January–December) in the last four years
Have paid tax (PAYE or self-assessed) for the relevant year(s)
Donated yourself directly, rather than sponsored a friend or taken part in a raffle or collection.
One form will now cover you for five years (after which you can renew your tax form either by email or phone – so less paperwork and less hassle!) You can download the CHY3 form below and additional information is also provided:
