History of Toys and Play. The Museum of Childhood Ireland worked with Dublin Primary school students on a curriculum history strand: Learning from the past, through a programme of exploration of toys that children played with from the 1900s to the 1980s. We brought our ‘Museum in a Suitcase’ to the school for children to explore, with items based around the curriculum strand being explored.
