c.Youth and youth culture in 20th C Ireland, histories and memories. Dr Sarah-Anne Buckley

2.Exhibiting Childhood. Chaired by Dr Alison Fitzgerald. 2-3pm

a.Children and childhood in the National Museum of Ireland’s collections. Dr Audrey Whitty.

b.Curating an exhibition on childhood in Ireland in the 1950s. Clodagh Doyle

Down Memory Lane, Irish childhood in the 20th C. Come explore and share your memories with us too!

Children’s Rights, Royal Marine Hotel, 3-4pm

Our Children’s Rights Team and our Child and Youth Voice Team will jointly present a discussion on Child Rights in Ireland, historical and Contemporary.

Children’s Literature, Artist and Children’s books Illustrator , Brian Fitzgerald in conversation with Museum of Childhood Ireland Founder Majella McAllister, to launch the museum’s Children’s Literature Team. Royal Marine Hotel, 4-5pm.

Outdoor Activities ( Top of Marine Road, outside St Michael’s church , 10-5pm)

The Big Dig ( Archeology). Pre booking required.

Traditional Games – Hopscotch, Pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, Hula-Hoops, Elastics etc

Museum of Childhood Ireland portable cabinet. Come and learn about curation at the museum. Curate your own display to tell a story.

Skipping Workshop- Johnny Carr’s Playground, Library Rd. 10-5pm
