Patricia Lynch, children’s writer and journalist, was born in Cork c. 1884. She is best known for ‘The Turf-Cutter’s Donkey, first published in 1934, and illustrated by Jack Butler Yeats. Her semi-autobiographical A Story-Teller’s Childhood was published in 1974. She died at Monkstown, Co Dublin in 1972.
